Pair Framed Coaching Prints Circa 1869 - H Alken & EL Hester - Rare VGC - CAN DELIVER in Falkirk, Falkirk for sale
Fantastic set of very old framed prints, both in extremely good condition, nothing bad to mention. Part of Brall's Coaching Reminiscences Series, these two prints are titled 'Summer' & 'Winter'. Details as below; 'Summer' Going West 'Winter' Going North Both also have printed 'London Published March 12th 1869 by L Brall 6 Gt Prescott St Goodmans Fields' And of course 'Engraved by EG HESTER' & 'Painted by H ALKEN'. Both lovely framed, very heavy and really are looking great for age. Framing would have cost over £100. Size including frame is 29 x 23". I don't know what their worth is nowadays but i picked these up in an auction last year with the sticker as per photo attached of £300 the pair, which i've included to give some indication of what they may have been worth then or now. I've seen them sell singularly online for over £300 each however i cannot confirm the worth. But i can guarantee the provenence & information here is all correct so grab a bargain!
