Volkswagen Mk1 Jetta - Classic Car in Falkirk, Falkirk for sale

Mk1 Jetta project for sale. I bought this for my girlfriend and i to restore but she sadly passed away. I will tell you what i know about it but it was parked up and never touched so i don't know a huge amount. It's a 1.5gl model and is SORN. I have the keepers document in my name. Interior It has mk1 Gti seats, the golf ball gear knob, gti three dials plate plus the original 'Jetta' blanking plate. The main clocks are still there and there is a couple of clock surrounds that come with the car. There appears to be a number of brand new window seals to come with the car too. The interior looks to be complete apart from the gti seats. Exterior The plan was to take the shell back to bare metal. There are little bits of rusts here and there with a few bad patches at one rear corner and one front wing. The sills have been repaired a bit crudely but look solid. Bootlid latch panel is rusted so boot doesn't stay down but the rest of the boot is solid. The passenger front door is shut and looks to have been a red replacement which the paint is starting to come away. Engine The inner wings etc all look solid. The chap that sold me it said the engine was a GTI with a 2ltr audi bottom end. The engine is in place and that's about it. No exhaust, wiring, clutch, brake lines have been cut etc etc. I reckon it was the start of the engine swap and the project stalled there. It's a project car that could be a great Mk1 Jetta. They are getting rare as they were not as popular as the Golf. My girlfriend happened to adore the Jetta's and had already restored one so hence why i bought it for her. The price is much less than i paid for it but it has to go and i really want an enthusiast to come and save it. Please don't give me any offers or mess me around with loads of questions when there is no intention to buy. It is priced to sell not haggle. It's a very fair price. Car is located in Bo'ness a short drive from Edinburgh.
